Abstract: This deliverable describes the contents for implementing the game scenarios and the stories for the Sustainable Global Manufacturing scenario. This content will be used as input by the game developers in specifying the stories to be implemented. This work has been a result of two workshops (December 2012, London, UK and January 2012, Wroclaw, Poland) and several discussions among several partners. The underlying methodology to generate the content of this deliverable has been defined in D11.1 "Story Building Framework".
The core competence to be addressed by this scenario is the ability to perform a LCA (Lifecycle Assessment) in a globally acting manufacturing enterprise which is producing household machinery like coffee machines. This ability is developed by putting the player in a series of critical incidents with the task to define objectives, goals and boundaries of the LCA, to acquire production related knowledge to define a materials and energy flowchart, to collect relevant data, to calculate environmental (and other) impacts and to interpret the results. To be successful in this mission, the player needs to know about the pitfalls of the LCA process as well as maintaining good social relationships with managers on the executive layer of the company. Otherwise, the quality of the LCA will be so poor that no useful recommendations can be drawn from it.
